✍️ The Design: Behold the flag of Palestine, a powerful symbol of heritage and identity known throughout the world! This horizontal tricolor features the iconic Pan-Arab colors, each carrying deep historical and cultural significance for the Palestinian people.

The design is composed of three equal stripes: black at the top, representing the Abbasid Caliphate; white in the middle, symbolizing the Umayyad Caliphate; and green at the bottom, signifying the Fatimid Caliphate and the lushness of the land. Connecting them all at the hoist is a bold red triangle, which represents the Khawarij and the shared struggle for liberty. History: While these colors were used during the Arab Revolt of 1916, the flag was officially adopted by the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) in 1964. In a moment of historic recognition, the United Nations began flying the flag outside its headquarters in 2015.
